Valerie Reinke (Professor and Vice Chair, Department of Genetics) and John Carlson (Eugene Higgins Professor, Department of MCDB) are the co-Directors of the Training Program in Genetics. Dr. Reinke has served as the co-Director of the TPG for 11 years (2010-present), while Dr. Carlson was Director of the TPG from 2003-2005, and has been co-Director from 2017 to the present.
The TPG Executive Committee is composed of members of all three primary departments: Zhaoxia Sun (Director of Graduate Studies, Genetics), Scott Holley (Director of Graduate Studies, MCDB), Casey Dunn (Director of Graduate Studies, EEB), Paul Turner (EEB), and the TPG co-Directors. All of the members of the Executive Committee are also trainers within TPG, and have mentored students who were supported by TPG.
